Why this guide exists
This guide came about to try to help both new users to Homer and also to help the experienced users explain Homer to the new users. After 2 years of helping users I decided it was time to get a good quick start guide for Homer.
About me
I am 'Knox' on IRC, a Server Administrator and Services Administrator on the default server (irc-2.mit.edu) on Homer for the Macintosh. With years of IRC experience I like to think I know what I'm talking about =)
This Guide
This guide is intended to be as easy as possible to understand with every term and concept you need to know to get started with Homer explained in non-technical language. However, if there is something i've missed, haven't explained well enough or anything else about the guide feel free to email me or just ask on IRC.
If you don't know how IRC works (or want to find out) you should go through The Beginner's Guide to IRC before continuing. If you just want to know how to use Homer go to the first page
